The Resort

Kalea Villas is an exclusive complex of 6 private villas located in the center of Kuta Lombok, surrounded by coconut palm trees and lush green hills. Decorated in neutral colors and using natural materials, they have been designed with comfort and genuine luxury in mind. Each villa has a private garden and swimming pool giving our guests full privacy. With 24hr security and concierge service we ensure our guests can relax and enjoy their holidays like a home away from home. What We Stand For

Without compromising the comfort of our guests, at Kalea Villas we do our best to care for the environment and local community. We are committed, at a minimum, to reduce our footprint on our surroundings by focusing on 4 main areas.

Waste-Water Treatment

We have installed an environmentally friendly system of Bio-Septic tanks which treats all the waste from showers, kitchens, and laundry through a bacteria-based treatment process.

Naturally occurring anaerobic bacteria work through a system of different oxygenated chambers to recycle all wastewater into clean and reusable water for the irrigation of our tropical gardens.

Waste Reduction

We do our best to minimize the use of plastic throughout the villa complex by choosing alternative materials such as stainless steel, and reusable glass bottles for free drinking water and providing our guests with refilled eco-friendly and natural hair and body care products. Waste collection is one of the biggest challenges in Indonesia and Lombok. Kalea Villas is a proud supporter of Lombok Plastic Free Organization sponsoring several rubbish bins within the community to minimize garbage and plastic on the streets of Kuta and surrounding rivers.

Sustainable Materials

Kalea Villa complex has been mainly built using locally sourced materials such as Jogya stones which are used on all our floors, Lombok green stones are used in all our pools, and a mix of several locally sourced kinds of wood such as Teak, Bangkirai, and Wulin. Wood, Bamboo, Alang Alang grass, Rattan, and Macramè cotton are a few of the natural materials we used in our interior design at Kalea villas. Our breakfast is completely Palm oil free as Palm oil is largely responsible for the destruction of the tropical rain forest in Sumatra and Borneo.

Responsible Energy Consumption

At Kalea Villas we are committed to doing our part in preserving the environment for future generations. We believe in responsible energy consumption to reduce our contribution to global environmental issues. Solar energy does not pollute the air, water, or soil. By the end of 2024, we are planning to install a system of solar panels which will produce around 60% of our total energy consumption; and we are committed to become fully solar-powered by the end of 2025.
